Wedding Photos Check List

If you plan your wedding, you deserve memorable wedding photos. The chances are that you have never planned a wedding before and it might be quite an overwhelming experience.  There is a myriad of arrangements that must be made for a successful wedding-wedding venue, wedding catering, wedding decorations, wedding dress, wedding cake, wedding DJ-the list goes on. While these are very important and need to be properly planned and carefully selected, most of them will fade with time and all you will be left with is their memory…except, your Wedding Day Photographs.

Over the years that we have been Orlando wedding photographers many Brides and Grooms tell us that they haven’t realized how much of the wedding they have missed, until they saw the wedding photographs.  If you fail to plan your wedding photography, you will not have a second chance.  The photographers, no matter how experienced, don’t know what’s important to you and your partner. A little pre-planning will ensure that you will get these wedding photographs that are important to you. To help you get organized and decide what specific wedding photographs are most critical to you, we have developed wedding photography tips and Wedding Photos Check List.

  1. Every formal photo shoot will take about 3 to 5 minutes. Base on “Wedding Photo Check List” we will prepare optimal sequence of photo shoots with small kids and seniors first, big groups to small etc. for optimal time usage.
  2. With formal photos some couples want to minimize the time between the ceremony and reception so they don't keep the guests waiting too long. If you're in this category, there are two options.
    • One choice is to take all the formal portraits prior to the ceremony.
    • The second choice is to only take the formal portraits that don't involve both the bride and groom together prior to the ceremony.  These pictures might be of the bride and her bridesmaids, the bride and her parents, the groom and the groomsmen, etc.
  1. During the formal portraits, you will need your mistress of ceremony, wedding coordinator or family member to assist the photographer (since the photographer does not know your family), by gathering all people needed for the formal pictures and making sure all essential family groupings have been photographed. This will help to keep formal pictures photo shoot on schedule.
  2. Please, inform us if, there are any sensitive situations in your respective families, such as divorced parents, stepparents that might not want to be photographed together, etc.
